Charlie Reed was born in the American South and grew up on a ranch with country, Southern rock and classic honky tonk. After her first shows back home, she came to Hamburg because of a man, but the relationship did not last long. Charlie stayed, tried job after job and eventually landed at a Hamburg radio station, where she took small on-air slots as a traffic reporter, weather voice and loose voice in the day program. When that became too narrow, she started singing in bars again after work. Rebel Girl heard her there after a powerful country and Southern rock performance and offered her a fixed place as a day-shift host that same evening. Today Charlie brings Southern charm, radio experience and country in her blood to Rebel Girl FM.
